I feel truly fortunate to have an amazing daughter who sees me as more than just her father. She's blissfully unaware of my past struggles, having never witnessed me on those street corners. I remember when she seen me engaging with people in her neighborhood, she was surprised. Not know I use be in that same spot. I'm overjoyed to have left those streets behind, no longer dodging the law and jeopardizing my children's future. I relish the moments when I playfully act tough in front of her, and she never fails to respond with a teasing, "Daddy, you know you're not like that." It always makes me laugh out loud; it's so amusing. 😄
